Jaipur Tours - Sunrise Balloon Flights

When’s the last time a sight took your breath away? Sure, India is a land of history, beauty, and colour, but when was the last time you really experienced a memorable moment?
If you’re looking for a Jaipur sightseeing expedition that will tickle you pink, why not book a sunrise hot air balloon tour?

Jaipur, the state capital of Rajasthan, is located south-west of Delhi. It is considered India’s first planned city, designed by Bengali scholar Vidyadhar Chakravarty. The whole city sits within nine rectangular sectors (chokdis), representing the ancient Hindu map of the universe. A crenellated masonry wall, measuring 20 feet in height and 9 feet thick with 7 imposing gateways surrounds the city.

Maharaja (King) Jai Singh II, a great warrior with a keen interest in astronomy, ordered the city built south of Amber—the original capital—which was facing water shortages due to explosive population growth. He named the new city Jaipur, meaning City of Victory, after himself. In 1876 Jaipur was painted pink (a colour of hospitality) to welcome Prince Albert, earning it the moniker of the Pink City.

Today, Jaipur stands a kaleidoscope of noise and colour. Stunning hilltop forts and palaces remain a watermark of its glorious past. Bazaars filled with artisan goods and colourful saris, fluttering like butterflies in the wind, beckoning tourists while dogs and cows waddle along the streets.

To a visitor, the sights and sounds can be assaulting, but Jaipur, proud and resilient as its founder, functions as a composite of history and modernism. If you’re visiting Jaipur Tour, sightseeing tours in hot air balloons are currently all the rage, because they allow you perspective to admire and meditate upon this great city, faraway from the crowds and noise.

If you’re looking for some truly spectacular photos to take home, a sunrise hot air balloon tour of Jaipur is highly recommended. The Pink City positively glows in the dusky light—and after an experience like this, so will you!
